"One time Tony-eligible actor Andrew Kober's totally self-indulgent concert," Koberet, returns to the New York stage tonight, Monday, July 16 as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival. After storming downtown NYC venues Joe's Pub and (Le) Poisson Rouge, Kober is back where he belongs – midtown Manhattan (just off Broadway) – with a sold-out performance at 7pm and an encore showing at 10:30pm at the 45th Street Theatre.

Originally seen by 100 Ohioans in the auditorium of Shaker Heights High, this updated Koberet is an even more self-indulgent version of the phenomenon that took the Midwest by storm ten years ago. In it, Broadway's most beloved and under-employed actor muses on coming out, going in, gaining weight and getting thin. The concert features a lineup of pop, rock, soul and Broadway covers as well as original songs by Drew Gasparini, Sam Carner & Derek Gregor, and F. Michael Haynie.

This event brings back together the creative team behind New York's first two Koberet outings: director David Ruttura (currently Resident Director of Spider-man), music director Matt Hinkley (Associate Music Director of Godspell), and producer Katie Riegel (jokr productions).

Andrew Kober is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, and holds a BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University. Previous credits include the original Shakespeare in the Park, Broadway, and West End revival casts of Hair (2009 Tony Award for Best Revival), the First National Tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Crazy Just Like Me, and Most Likely to Die (NYMF), as well as many readings, workshops, and concerts around New York City. He has performed his solo show, Koberet, to sold-out crowds at Joe's Pub, (le) Poisson Rouge and Feinstein's. Andrew has also been seen on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" and ABC's "Pan Am", as well as the upcoming short film, Chin Up. You can hear him on the Original Revival Cast Recording of Hair, and Bobby Cronin's debut album, "Reach the Sky". Follow him on Twitter @andrewkober.

Tickets for the 10:30pm performance are still available for $25 at nymf.org (http://www.nymf.org/module-ShowManager-display-sid-2031.html) or for walk-up sales at the 45th Street Theatre. The 45th Street Theatre is located at 354 West 45th Street, New York, NY 10036.

Koberet is presented by The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Katie Riegel (jokr productions).
