Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré will present an encore production of the popular original musical revue Under the Boardwalk, featuring the Big Easy Buddies, as a substitute for the recently cancelled Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, from July 11-26. The show celebrates some of the greatest hits of the 1950s and '60s, showcasing the classic harmonies of the Four Seasons, Beach Boys, Doo-wop, and Motown, accompanied by a live 'big band' orchestra. Audience favorites include "My Girl," "Blue Moon," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "I Get Around," "Walk Like a Man," "Oh What a Night," and a couple of new songs added for this show.

Performances are scheduled for the same dates and times as Joseph. Tickets are $30-$50 and may be purchased at www.lepetittheatre.com or by calling the box office at 504-522-2081. All Joseph tickets will be honored for Under the Boardwalk.

"Under the Boardwalk is an all-local production that has received rave reviews since its debut earlier this year at Rivertown Theater. It is widely regarded as one of region's strongest original works and we are confident it will have audiences dancing in the aisles," said Cassie Steck Worley, artistic director of Le Petit Theatre. "Ask anyone who has had the privilege of seeing this show and they will tell you it is a performance you won't forget and you may even want to see it twice."

A rotating cast of four includes Richard Arnold (also Director & MD), Jonathan Brannan, Peter Elliott, Marc Fouchi, Scott Sauber, Michael Taravella, Frank Von Hoven, Adair Watkins with a special "Supremes" cameo by Ashley Rose Butler, Jessica Mixon and Whitney Mixon.

Le Petit has also selected Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, Inc. as its nonprofit partner for this production. Junior Achievement representatives will be on hand to recruit volunteers for the nonprofit, which aims to empower young people to own their economic success through volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs and experiential learning.

Under the Boardwalk was penned by New Orleans natives Richard Arnold and Kasey Marino to showcase the best hits of their popular high-energy vocal quartet, the "Big Easy Buddies." The "Buddies" were founded in 2011 with a goal of producing Broadway-caliber theatrical performances. They've garnered rave reviews for their "tight vocals, scripting and movement" (Carl Mack, Carl Mack Presents). For more information, see http://www.bigeasybuddies.com
