Witness the future of classical music in-the-making as the New Jersey Symphony performs works by four emerging composers selected for the Edward T. Cone Composition Institute, now in its ninth season. Institute Director Steven Mackey hosts the culminating concert, as Case Scaglione takes the podium.

Please note: Because of renovations taking place at the Richardson Auditorium this summer, this year’s Edward T. Cone Composition Institute concert has been moved to NJPAC’s Victoria Theater in Newark.
The Symphony presents the Institute in collaboration with Princeton University Department of Music. Major underwriting support for the New Jersey Symphony Edward T. Cone Institute is generously provided by the Edward T. Cone Foundation and Princeton University.
The New Jersey Symphony will present two epic films in concert with the score played live by the orchestra this summer, as well as concerts in the parks, a concert featuring emerging composers and a free preview concert of the upcoming 2024–25 season.

The New Jersey Symphony and Music Director Xian Zhang announce the Symphony's landmark 2022–23 centennial season—and an extension of Zhang's music director contract through the 2027–28 season.
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra performs free concerts in five New Jersey parks in June, featuring a family-friendly program of diverse music from across the Americas. The NJSO performs free concerts at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside, Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, Ocean County College in Toms River, Branch Brook Park in Newark and Marine Park in Red Bank.
New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Eric Wyrick takes center stage in a pair of double concertos, pairing with electric guitarist Steven Mackey in Mackey's Four Iconoclastic Episodes and with Sphinx Competition winner Annelle Gregory in Bach's Concerto for Two Violins-May 16-19. Music Director Xian Zhang conducts the program, which also features Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3 and Weber's Overture to Oberon.
