Disney's The Lion King, Broadway's award winning best musical, will hold an open casting call for children and adult singer for the Broadway and national touring productions of the Tony Award-winning landmark musical. The open casting call will be held at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ on Saturday, December 1.

Performers of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

The Lion King is looking for children between the ages of 8 and 12, with a maximum height of 58" who can sing, dance and act to play the African lion cubs Simba and Nala. No performance experience necessary, but children should be prepared to learn the last verse of "I Just Can't Wait To Be King." All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain at the audition site at all times. Sign in for children will be held from 9 AM – 11 AM with auditions beginning at 10 AM.

The Lion King is also seeking strong, dynamic adult singers for all roles, especially for Simba and Nala, the tall and attractive African Lions. Candidates should bring sheet music of a song that showcases their voice and range in 16 bars that will be sung to piano accompaniment. Sign in for adult singers will be held from 10 AM – noon with auditions beginning at 11 AM.
