This holiday season, McCarter Theatre continues to support local social-service organizations by collecting monetary donations for Allies, Inc. and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), during the run of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The production runs through December 24.

TASK's mission is to provide food for the hungry in Trenton, as well as programs to improve their patrons' quality of life. (www.trentonsoupkitchen.org)

Allies, Inc. is an accredited nonprofit agency dedicated to providing housing, healthcare, meaningful employment, and recreational opportunities to people with special needs in the communities of their choice.

In past years, McCarter and their patrons have also helped The Children's Home Society (www.chsofnj.org) and HomeFront (www.homefrontnj.org).

As long-time cast member Danny Hallowell of Skillman, 13, who started out as Tiny Tim in 2003, says in the curtain speech, "Anything you care to give is meaningful. Thank you for your generosity. And from the bottom of our hearts, Happy Holidays."
