Faith Prince Brings TOTAL FAITH to Cape May Playhouse, 7/23

Cape May Stage will welcome another Broadway legend to the Robert Shackleton Playhouse.  On Monday, July 23rd at 8pm, Faith Prince brings her critically-acclaimed one woman show Total Faith to Cape May. 

Tony Award winner and four-time Tony nominee Prince dazzles audiences as she moves effortlessly between theater, live performance, television and movies.  Her latest concert, Total Faith, reflects the Southern Belle's past and present with a small glimpse into her future, as well.  Her unforgettable and often hilarious adventures are brought to life through the songs of some of America's greatest composers, including Harold Arlen, Menken & Ashman, Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Rodgers & Hart, and Jerry Herman.
 
Prince has been wowing Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her legendary performance as “Ms. Adelaide” in the 1992 revival of Guys and Dolls.  In 2008, she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for A Catered Affair.  Other Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid, Bells Are Ringing (Tony, DD, OCC noms), Nick & Nora (OCC Award), Jerome Robbins’ Broadway (Tony, DD noms), Little MeThe Dead, and Noises Off.  Most recently, Faith starred in the national tour of the Broadway hit Billy Elliott
 
A well-known star of screens both large and small, Prince currently recurs on Lifetime’s hit series Drop Dead Diva as Brooke Elliott’s mother, “Elaine.”  She was a series regular on Showtime's Huff starring as “Kelly Knippers," the love interest of Oliver Platt, and recurred for five seasons on Spin City. Other television credits include Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, FaithHouse, Medium, Monk, and Law and Order.  Film credits include Our Very OwnPicture PerfectDave, and My Father the Hero.
 
Frequently working with such renowned orchestras as the Boston Pops, Utah Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, and Philly Pops, Prince recently starred in the Orlando Philharmonic’s concert version of Sweeney Todd.  Her award-winning CD, A Leap Of Faith, was recorded at Joe's Pub, and is available on DRG records.
