in Memoriam
Introdans proudly presents the first Dutch company the wonderful In Memoriam by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (in a full version, because previously all Introdans danced an excerpt from the choreography). The world-acclaimed Cherkaoui examines this meditative work - a tribute to his ancestors - the link between reality and memory. In an imaginary underworld explore the dancers magnetic and polarizing forces gentleness and aggression, attraction and repulsion, with an intoxicating effect as a result. In Memoriam is accompanied live by the Corsican choir A Filetta.
Cantata
Totally different style Cantata, a raw, passionate 'power play' in which choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti let out the different characters from an Italian village to life. Perhaps during the last hours of a wedding feast; it has sweet, but sometimes the opinions clash too, verbal and physical. Bigonzetti shows in this work - which always can count on standing ovations - his special talent for working with larger dance ensembles, folk and contemporary dance styles which he mixes in a completely natural way. The 'earthly' women of Italian folk music group Assurd who Cantata will accompany them, he knows how to integrate beautifully into his choreography.

Greek director, choreographer and visual artist Dimitris Papaioannou was, despite his enormous international record, never before seen a job on the Dutch dance stages. Papaioannou was responsible for the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and the first European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2015. What makes his work so special is that he creates pure magic with minimal resources. Similarly impressive, short scene from his production Nowhere. A long line of dancers encloses and undressing a couple, where the arms of the ensemble forms a beautiful, continuous wavy sea.
