Sanskrit Names Becoming Popular In Tech World

Sometimes back, Airbus Group's electric autonomous flying vehicle platform was named as "Vahana" (vehicle/carrier in Sanskrit); now the Volkswagen Group has named its new mobility services company as MOIA, which is said to be derived from Sanskrit word "maya".

MOIA, launched on December five and headquartered in Berlin, Germany; claims to connect the car with the new mobility world, provide tailor-made transport solutions worldwide and become leading mobility services provider by 2025.

Hindus have welcomed Volkswagen Group and Airbus Group for deriving names of their new projects from Sanskrit.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, welcomed the usage of Sanskrit terminology to name such innovative projects. He urged other world corporations to explore the richness of thought offered by Sanskrit texts of Hinduism and incorporate it with future innovations.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that that Sanskrit, which was known as "the language of the gods", provided the theoretical foundation of ancient sciences. According to tradition, self-born God created Sanskrit, which was everlasting and divine, Zed added.

The Volkswagen Group, with headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany; claims to be "one of the world's leading manufacturers of automobiles and commercial vehicles and the largest carmaker in Europe". Matthias Müller is the Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG; while Ole Harms is CEO of MOIA.

Airbus Group, headquartered in Leiden, Netherlands, claims to be "a global pioneer in aeronautics, space and defence-related services, creating cutting-edge technology". Thomas Enders is Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Group, while Denis Ranque is its Board Chairman. Airbus recently celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th aircraft.
