NOH8 Supporter Rick Caroto, who has been working with the national tour of hit Broadway musical In The Heights, reached out to NOH8 Photographer Adam Bouska when the tour arrived at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles so they could work together.

In The Heights is about a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. The music pulses with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition. In The Heights won two 2008 Tony Awards (for Best Musical and Best Original Score).

Many themes explored throughout the show reflect lessons the NOH8 Campaign supports, from the discrimination and struggle of a budding interracial couple to the diverse neighborhood coming together.

Creator and Lead Lin-Manuel Miranda (Usnavi) was joined by a number of other featured cast members in posing for the NOH8 Campaign in-between their final performances, and had NOH8 temporary tattoos applied to their faces in protest backstage.

A group of the Ensemble Cast Members took the time to have their NOH8 portraits taken as well, including Carlos Omar Salazar, Christina Black, and DeWitt Cooper III.
