Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents The Secret Garden in weekend performances March 18 through April 17.

This classic novel has been adapted to film and stage, including a musical of the same name. After her parents pass away, Mary Lennox is sent to live with her uncle and cousin Colin, a young invalid who never leaves his room. Exploring their gloomy old estate, she discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years - and sets about to uncover its mystery. This touching tale has been a favorite around the world for more than a century, and is written for the stage by Sylvia Ashby, who adapted last season's popular Anne of Green Gables.

David Metcalf directs the 17-member cast featuring Caitlyn Carroll as Mary. Sets are designed by Kirby Moore, costumes by Dwight Larsen, with lighting by A. Camille Holthaus and Andrew Troth.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, April 3.

Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.

PLEASE NOTE: This production is not the musical version of the same name.
