This weekend is about to get "So Much Better!" with Minnesota's first ever production of Legally Blonde - The Musical!

Presented by the award-winning Minnetonka High School theatre department, the show is a follow up to the schools recent darker performances (Dracula – The Musical this past fall and last spring's sold out Minnesota premiere of The Phantom of the Opera). After opening on Broadway in 2007, this pink sensation received seven Tony nominations, ten Drama Desk nominations, and won three Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical.

Based on the movie starring Reese WitherspoonLegally Blonde tells the story of Elle Woods as she fights for her chance at love and discovers herself along the way. Woods, a UCLA sorority girl, decides to enroll in Harvard Law School to follow her ex-boyfriend and prove to him that there is more to being a blonde than her looks. Surprising herself and everyone she meets, Elle discovers her true self and comes out smarter, stronger, and forever her true, blonde self. This poppy musical features all of the fan favorite characters from the movie, including Bruiser, Elle's Chihuahua, and Paulette, the eccentric hair dresser with the "Bend and Snap!" moves.

Tickets are now on sale, and group rates are available. MHS students will also be translating the show into American Sign Language on select performances. For more information, visit www.minnetonkatheatre.com.
