Children's Theatre Company (CTC) has announced a FREE "Season Opener" 50th Anniversary event on August 9, 2015 at Target Field sponsored by Target. A lottery system will be used to distribute the tickets to this event. The lottery sign up period will be now through Tuesday, June 30.

To enter, visit childrenstheatre.org/plays/season-opener to sign up. All lottery winners will be contacted by Monday, July 13. Seating is limited exclusively down the first base line to provide the best view of the scoreboard.

The 50th Anniversary Season Opener will commence with a free "grand-slam" event at Target Field on August 9, 2015. This commemorative event will feature a jumbotron screening of the never-before-seen, filmed theatrical production of A Year with Frog and Toad, based on the Arnold Lobel stories with the original Broadway cast in high definition. Doors open and activities begin at 5:30pm. Special guest appearances and performances will be unveiled closer to the event.

A perennial audience favorite, A Year with Frog and Toad, produced by Bob Boyette, premiered at CTC in 2002, played on Broadway in 2003 and was nominated for three Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.

Tickets are guaranteed for all 6 Play subscribers and donors to CTC of $250 or more.
