Is there anyone Susan can trust? Navigating life as a blind woman in 1944 in New York City is hard enough; getting innocently caught up in the competing schemes of con men and murderers is not a complication she needs! Tension mounts as Susan becomes increasingly aware of the danger she's in - but those who would manipulate her underestimate her at their own peril. Join us for an updated version of the suspenseful classic Wait Until Dark!

Frederick Knott's famous play, whose successful original run on Broadway inspired a movie version starring Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin, has been updated and adapted by Minnesota-based playwright Jeffrey Hatcher, a Core Writer of the Playwrights Center and a master of suspense whose adaptation of The Turn of the Screw was produced by Chameleon at this same time last year.

Chameleon's production of Wait Until Dark is directed by Ben Layne, and features performances by Gracie Anderson, Tyler Haines, H. William Kirsch, Armando Harlow Ronconi, Carl Swanson, and Kiara Tristan.

Performances will take place December 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 pm, and December 4, 11, and 18 at 2 pm. Monday, December 5 will be Industry Night, featuring Pay-What-You-Can pricing at the door, and a discussion with the cast and crew following the performance.

All performances take place at the Ames Center's Black Box Theatre in Burnsville, Minnesota. Tickets are $22 for adults; $19 for students, seniors, Fringe Button holders, and groups of 8-19; $16 for groups of 20 or more. Prices include a $2 facility fee. Tickets are available at the Ames Center box office and through Ticketmaster online or at 1-800-982-2787 (additional service fees may apply).
