Classic Albums Live presents some of rock's best albums in their entirety, as they were recorded, note for note and cut for cut. The group, which presented The Eagles: Hotel California and The Who: Who's Next, brings The Beatles: Abbey Road to the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Tuesday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m.

The goal of Classic Albums Live is to capture "absolutely every detail" of some of rock's greatest albums. The musicians, pulled from among Canada's best, do not attempt to dress up like the original band members or mimic them in any way. Instead, they perform the album as it was recorded in such detail that, if you close your eyes and listen to the music, you'll swear you're listening to the album.

Based in Toronto, Classic Albums Live has performed throughout Canada and the United States. Along with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Eagles' Hotel California, they have also produced "live album" experiences of Led Zeppelin's Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II; Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run; Supertramp's Crime of the Century and Breakfast in America; the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street; The Beatles' Revolver and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band; and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here and The Wall.

Abbey Road, one of the Beatles' most successful albums, was released in 1969 before the band's dissolution in 1970. The last album to be recorded, it marked a return to the happy, upbeat songs the Beatles recorded in their early days, despite the discord that had developed between band members.
Abbey Road is known for its iconic and often mimicked album cover, which was hastily shot outside London's Abbey Road Studios where this and many other Beatles albums were recorded. The album produced two of the best-known songs of modern music, Come Together and Here Comes the Sun.
