Bay Street Players in Eustis presents lively summer musical entertainment for the whole family. "Thoroughly Modern Millie," New Music by Jeanie Tesori, New Lyrics by Dick Scanlan, Book by Richard Morris, opens July 8 and runs through July 31, 2011. Based on the beloved film starring Julie Andrews and Mary Tyler Moore, this 2002 Broadway musical revival won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Set in New York City in 1922, this musical tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, a small-town girl who has just moved to the city in search of a new modern life. What she finds is a colorful collection of characters, a city full of intrigue, jazz and love. There will be plenty of toe tapping in the audience as this young and talented cast sing and dance their way into your hearts.

Beau Mahurin, Musical Director for Bay Street's sold out production of "Phantom" teams up again with Artistic Director David Clevinger to bring this musical the sparkle and bounce that will have you singing as you leave the theatre. This musical comedy is filled with lively dance numbers choreographed by Tara Whitman, who also choreographed the memorable dance numbers in "Oklahoma" and "Ragtime, the Musical."
