MAMMIA MIA! Set to Open Playhouse on the Square's 48th Season

On August 12th, Playhouse on the Square's 48th season opens with the smash-hit musical Mamma Mia!

On a small Greek island, Sophie dreams of a perfect wedding - a dream that includes her father giving her away. The problem? Sophie doesn't know who he is! Sneaking a peek in her mother's old diaries, she discovers three possible fathers. She secretly invites all three to the wedding, convinced that she'll know her father when she sees him. But when all three turn up, it may not be as clear as she thought! Told through the legendary music of ABBA, Mamma Mia! has become a worldwide sensation that has audiences everywhere dancing.

Mamma Mia! features Annie Freres (The Producers; Jerry Springer the Opera) as Donna, Jenna Newman making her Playhouse on the Square debut as Sophie, and Jonathan Christian (Memphis; A Tuna Christmas), Greg Earnest (Miss Saigon), and Greg Krosnes (Pageant - 1999) as Sophie's potential fathers Harry, Sam, and Bill. Mamma Mia! is directed and choreographed by Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Jordan Nichols (Memphis; Kiss Me, Kate).

Mamma Mia! runs August 12th - September 4th at Playhouse on the Square. The Circuit Playhouse Inc.
