What did our critic think of POTUS at Circuit Playhouse? As with any comedy, and farce particularly, timing is everything and it takes about half of Act I before the cast finds their rhythm and ensures the audience is keeping up with them. It’s a lot all at once.

The Circuit Playhouse's favorite first-grader is at it again! Junie B's Essential Survival Guide to School is a hilarious, whole-hearted show about owning up to your mistakes, and how no one is ever done learning.  The Kidz Bop inspired production is filled with entertaining songs and dance numbers designed for all families to enjoy.

Little Shop of Horrors is the first installment of The Playhouse on the Square Holiday Series of shows entitled Welcome to Show Row.

After a 17-month pandemic-induced hiatus, Playhouse on the Square has finally opened its doors again to an in-person audience with its season premiere of DAYS OF RAGE (now through September 19th). But just when we thought it was safe to congregate again, Shelby County is now wrestling with the ongoing challenges of the latest COVID Delta Variant and theatres across the Mid-South find themselves scrambling to figure out how to present much-needed live theatre without killing anyone. For now, Playhouse seems content to socially distance the audience, while still allowing the actors to perform without masks or shields. Memphis theatres may have thought they were at the end of this nightmare, but, in many ways, it feels like they are right back at the beginning.

Playhouse on the Square will open its main stage with Days of Rage by Steven Levenson.

The theatre has also announced its new streaming partner, Broadway on Demand; which will be the streaming platform for the production of The Taming.
