Naked Shakespeare, Acorn Productions' Acting Company dedicated to presenting the works of the Bard in non-traditional venues without sets, lights, and costumes, returns to the public arena with three performances of "Will You Be Mine?" a show comprising a series of sonnets, speeches, and short scenes.

Performances will take place during the First Friday art walk in February at the Portland Public Library, on the first Monday of February in a return to the Wine Bar on Wharf Street, and at the Merrill Library in Yarmouth. Additionally, participants in Acorn's Young Actors Shakespeare Conservatory will be sharing their work in a showcase performance that will be presented at the Coffee by Design locations in Freeport and India Street in a special doubleheader on Saturday, February 2, at 11am and 4pm.

As with all Naked Shakespeare presentations, the selections have been updated, appearing in a modern context to increase the accessibility of the text selections, and audience members will have the chance to join in the performance by cuing the actors if they wish to. All Naked Shakespeare performances are free with a suggested donation. Please visit Acorn's website for more information:www.acorn-productions.org or call the Acorn office at 854-0065.
