Relive the 70's and 80's with fast-action car chases and old school cops with tight pants and mirrored sunglasses when Erik Estrada, the star of "CHiPs" makes a personal appearance at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin on Saturday, April 30. Estrada is best known for his role at highway patrol officer Francis "Ponch" Poncherello on the hit television series "CHiPs" (short for California Highway Patrol) which ran from 1977-83. Each episode featured Ponch and his partner driving the highways of southern California responding to calls and engaging in hilarious antics once back at the station house. Because of his "CHiPs" fame, Estrada was voted one of "People" magazine's 10 Sexiest Bachelors in the World." More recently, he has appeared on a number of reality television series, including "The Surreal Life" and "Armed & Famous."

In addition to meeting his fans and giving away free autographed pictures during his visit to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Estrada will be assisting the Lake of the Torches' Marketing Department with their "Casino Money Patrol" promotion scheduled for that day at the casino's main entrance from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. As part of the promotion, qualifying Club Advantage members will be able to win up to $1,000 during drawings held throughout the afternoon along with receiving a free pair of aviator sunglasses (while supplies last). Estrada will be assisting with the drawings and awarding prizes to the lucky winners.

"I remember watching Erik Estrada on 'CHiPs' and thinking he was one of the coolest dudes on TV. I can't wait to finally meet him right here at Lake of the Torches," said the resort-casino's Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick. "I'm sure many of Erik's and 'CHiPs' fans will be thrilled to meet him right here in Wisconsin, get a free autographed picture and have the chance to win cool cash prizes!"
