The Louisville Orchestra is holding a singing contest. The winners of #SingForTheCity will have their songs professionally arranged for orchestra and will perform with the LO on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Louisville Orchestra Waterfront Fourth of July concert at Waterfront Park. Check out the video for more details!

Here's how to enter:

Submit a video excerpt (15 seconds) of yourself performing an original piece of music to Instagram. You must use the hashtag #SingForTheCity and tag us @LouisvilleOrchestra. If your Instagram account is set to private, send@LouisvilleOrchestra a Direct Message and we'll send you a follow request to see the entry.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS is FRIDAY, MAY 6 at 11:59PM.

On MONDAY, MAY 9 Teddy Abrams, select LO Staff members, and LO musicians representatives will select up to 10 finalists.

Chosen finalists will submit a full (UP TO THREE MINUTES) video via YouTube or Vemo. The deadline for finalists to submit full songs is Saturday, May 21 at 11:59pm. Directions for submission will be delivered with finalist announcement via Instagram Direct Message. Up to three (3) winners will be announced on Monday, May 23, 2016.
