Sheku Kanneh-Mason channels his fierce virtuosity in the exquisite intricacies of Haydn’s iconic Cello Concerto in D major. The concert is complimented by a prismatic program by Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra that unearths the remarkable diversity of the classical era with symphonic music by Joseph Bologne, and the works of siblings Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn.
January 2023 programs presented by Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra include guest artist cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason (who came to international prominence when he played at the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) performing Haydn's Cello Concerto in D Major; and Baroque Concerti spotlighting Principal Viola Yura Lee and Principal Trumpet David Washburn.
