A CHRISTMAS STORY is coming to Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi for one performance on December 26. The show, which opened in 2012 at Lunt Fontaine Theatre on Broadway, was a limited engagement from November 12-December 30. It reopened on Broadway for one more limited engagement in December of 2013. A CHRISTMAS STORY has enjoyed a yearly holiday season national tour since 2014. It was nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.

A CHRISTMAS STORY is based on the beloved holiday film of the same name. It is set in 1940s Indiana and follows Ralphie, a young boy who desperately wants one thing for Christmas- an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. Ralphie faces many obstacles on his way to fulfilling his Christmas wish-list, including a leg shaped lamp, a less than cheerful Santa Claus, and some very hungry dogs.

A top notch creative team gives A CHRISTMAS STORY that warm, fuzzy holiday feeling - Book by Joseph Robinette, original score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, Dogfight), national tour direction by Matt Lenz (Pageant: The Musical), choreography by Warren Carlyle (Chaplin, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), scenic design adaptation by Michael Carnahan, and tour costuming by Lisa Zinni.
