Photo Flash: Indonesian Dance Festival 2016 are kicked off with breathtaking performance 'TOMORROW AS PROPOSED'

Yesterday was an official mark to open the Indonesian Dance Festival 2016 (IDF 2016) which will take place until 5 November 2016.

Melati Suryodarmo's "TOMORROW AS PROPOSED" were presented as the main show for the evening. Melati Suryodarmo was accompanied by Japanese electronic composer, Naoki Iwaka a.k.a SKANK. "TOMORROW AS PROPOSED" itself is taken from the words of a witch in Shakespeare's play, Macbeth. These words were thrown when the witch predict Macbeth will become king. Combining contemporary dance, performance theatre and music, Melati are interested to revive the relationship between power and supernatural world. For her, Macbeth reflects the desires of someone who is supported by the belief in the existence of supernatural forces. It is obviously still occur, even in the digital world, especially in Indonesia.
