The Fifth Edition of DanceSport Association of Maharashtra's Annual Championship Takes Place Today

The much awaited Annual DanceSport event is here! Tonight, 6th September, 2013, will see competitors proficient in Latin American & Ballroom Dance Forms with different grades of expertise, flaunt their talents in a thrilling competition which will be appraised by a panel of experienced dignitary from around the country at the NCPA, Mumbai.

Over 150 couples will be competing with each other, making it one of the biggest DanceSport Events the country has hosted so far. There are over 10 Dance Forms to compete in.

The first Annual Maharashtra Open DanceSport Championship was organised in the year 2009. With 40 couples competed at this enlivening championship with an audience of 200+ people. This one-of-its-kind event saw a growth in participation with 60 couples and an audience of 250+ people in the year 2010. DSAM continued to enthrall people and in the year 2011, 100 Couples performed from all over the country. September 2012 saw over 125 Couples performing from all over the country and witnessed an audience of 350+ people.

Couples will compete in various styles of dance, including Cha, Jive, Rumba, Sumba, Waltz, Tango, and Salsa.
