BWW Previews: MAESTROS AMJAD ALI KHAN AND SHUBHA MUDGAL at Swami Haridas Tansen Sangeet Nritya Mahotsav

Musical evenings that bring the stalwarts of classical music together in India are a delight for any true music lovers. The cooler January air saw some more magic getting infused in the atmosphere when a four day event lent an unmistakable charm to the city.

At the Swami Haridas Tansen Sangeet Nritya Mahotsav that was held between January 11, 2018 to January 14 2018 at at Shankar Lal Hall, Modern School, Barakhamba Road in New Delhi the music legends delighted the senses of rapt listeners.

The music personalities that lent their talent at the event included Smt. Kaushiki Chakraborty (Vocal), Shri Ayaan Ali Bangash (Sarod), Pt. Chhannulal Mishra (Vocal), Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar (Vocal), Ustad Aashish Khan (Sarod), Shri Bickram Ghosh (Tabla), Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena), Smt. Shubha Mudgal (Vocal), Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia (Flute), Ustad Shujaat Khan (Sitar), Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (Sarod), Dr. Uma Sharma (Kathak).

The event that was attended in high numbers once again proved that there is a continued fascination even amongst the younger generation to revive and discover our ancient musical heritage.
