Funny Girl took the world by storm as a Broadway musical in 1964 starring Barbra Streisand, was adapted into a movie musical in 1968 where Barbra reprised her role and now it is hitting the Broadway Palm stage from April 7 through May 14, 2016. It's a production full of big musical numbers along with big personalities!

Funny Girl is the true story of Fanny Brice, who ruled Broadway as Ziegfeld's brightest star and brought the house down as an outrageous comedienne and singer. Fanny had to fight for her fame and after her rise to stardom she falls in love with a handsome gambler, but his luck does not quite hold up. This irresistible musical comedy is filled with drama, heartbreaking romance and unforgettable songs such as Don't Rain On My Parade, I'm the Greatest Star, The Music That Makes Me Dance and the Barbra Streisand hit, People.

Playing the leading role of Fanny Brice is Elizabeth McMonagle. Elizabeth is appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. Previous Broadway Palm credits include Eponine in LES MISERABLES and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. Funny Girl is directed by Brian Enzman and choreographed by Kerry Lambert.

Funny Girl is playing April 7 through May 14, 2016 at Broadway Palm. Performances are Tuesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees. Ticket prices range from $39 to $62 with discounts for children and groups of 20 or more.
