They say reach for the stars, but where do the stars reach? Why, the stages of Paris, of course! Theatre in Paris is proud to announce a brand new show, featuring prolific entertainment professionals Anthony Souchet, who has worked with Prince, Madonna, and Vanessa Paradis; and Marisa Berenson, a talented multilingual actress and former international supermodel. These two showbiz magnates are bringing us the brand new production Summer '44 the Musical, a compelling show that brings to life the Liberation of France through moving love stories and beautiful music. This show is sure to captivate our international audiences, and is also playing during the holidays, so be sure to book sooner rather than later if you plan on joining us in the fun! Read on for details, and for further exciting announcements.

THE SCOOP

THE NUMBER ONE WAY to spend your holidays in Paris

You've done the marchés de Noël and you've had your fill of shopping at the Galeries Lafayette. What's next? Or rather, what's open? The good news is that Theatre in Paris never sleeps: a number of our shows are playing between 17 December and 1 January. Classics, comedies, musicals: this holiday season, we're offering more shows than ever, both matinées and evenings, in order for you to have the largest choice possible. And if you are looking for a spectacular night out for New Year's Eve, we have reserved seats for that night at shows you will not want to miss: Oliver Twist the Musical, Anything You Want, and Summer '44 the Musical. So take full advantage and book your tickets as soon as possible. They're selling like chestnuts roasting on an open fire!

AWARD TIME

You know that little award that we mentioned being nominated for? We got it! Up against a couple of other fantastic companies, we received 55% of the votes from the Expatriates Magazine readership for the Best Innovation category for their Best of Paris contest. Chuffed!

BEHIND THE SCENES

"THE SOUL OF A PEOPLE LIVES IN ITS LANGUAGE"

Why do we travel? To relax, to have fun, to see new places... There are many motives, but Theatre in Paris would say that the number one reason we travel is to learn about other cultures. Einstein said, "Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death." Much of a country's unique culture is translated through the art that they produce, be it paintings, books, films, or theatre. And at the heart of a community's culture is, of course, their language.
So how much can we actually learn by enjoying foreign art, and more specifically, entertainment? Can watching a foreign film or play, with subtitles, of course, actually teach us something? To find out, we talked to French language professor and founder of French à la Carte Florence Harang and one of her students - separately, so they could say what they really felt!

Only tickets to surtitled shows exclusively sold by Theatre in Paris guarantee top seats, chosen for optimal view of English surtitles and stage. Our service also includes a personal welcome, pre-show introduction and printed programme, all in English. Other languages available upon request.
We also arrange events for groups up to 2,000, offering a range of tailored services surrounding the theatre experience, including dinner, cocktail reception, or private access to the theatre.
