The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) takes the audience on a wild and uproarious romp through all 37 plays by the great Bard. The actors condense and parody Shakespeare's works in a high-speed circus of zany improvisation, gags and pratfalls, while incorporating pop culture, absurd female impersonation, audience participation and just plain fun. The show is notable for holding the (self-proclaimed) world record for the shortest-ever performance of Hamlet, clocking in at 43 seconds. The audience is advised to "fasten their seatbelts" for a crazy ride through Elizabethan culture!

Performing in the play are Keith Johnson and Tim Reinman of Grosse Pointe Farms and Dennis G. Martell of Livonia . The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is directed by Kevin Young, of Detroit .

The final show of Grosse Pointe Theatre's main stage season is the ultimate 50s rock'n'roll musical, Grease, with book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, which runs May 9, 13-16, and19-23, 2010.

An outdoor show is planned for summer 2010, GPT's Youth on Stage will also offer classes and a youth show will also be staged. Details on summer activities are forthcoming.
