Ann Arbor Symphony Presents CHAMBER CONCERTS: MUSIC WITH FRIENDS

Join the Ann Arbor Symphony at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor on Monday, October 31 at 1:30 pm. This hour-long concert features Beethoven Trio Opus 11 and Brahms Trio in A minor with Arie Lipsky (cello), Chad Burrow (clarinet) and Amy ILin Cheng (piano).

Arie Lipsky is Music Director and Conductor of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. A musician's musician, a most collaborative of conductors, and a communityrecognized leader, at this recital Arie Lipsky trades in his baton for his beloved cello. Lipsky leads the Chautaqua Institution Summer Chamber program where he serves on the faculty and as coach. Lipsky was principal cellist for the Buffalo Philharmonic for 16 seasons.

Chad Burrow is the principal clarinetist of the A2 SO. In 2009, Chad was appointed to the clarinet faculty of the University of Michigan, where he teaches clarinet, chamber music and serves as the director for the Michigan Chamber Players. Additionally, he serves as co-artistic director for the Brightmusic Society of Oklahoma and is on the faculty of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and Alpenkammermusik Festival in Austria.

Amy I-Lin Cheng is currently on faculty at the Community Music School of Ann Arbor and serves as a collaborative pianist for the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where she has appeared on numerous faculty and student recitals, and featured on several faculty recording projects. Cheng also holds a lecturer in piano position at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Tickets are $10 and are available online at a2so.com or at the door. General seating at our chamber concert series is a comfortable cabaret style. Guests will enjoy light refreshments before and during the concert. The JCC of Greater Ann Arbor is located at 2935 Birch Hollow Dr Ann Arbor, MI 48108 (Stone School Road, North of 1-94 bridge). Free parking, additional street parking and parking across the street at Spruce Knob Apartments is available.
