The Des Moines Community Playhouse presents "Boeing Boeing," today, May 23-June 8, 2014. Tickets may be purchased online at dmplayhouse.com, by phone at 515-277-6261, and at the Playhouse ticket office, 831 42nd St. "Boeing Boeing" is sponsored by EMC Insurance.

Swinging '60s, Paris. Playboy Bernard (Micheal Davenport) is engaged to Gloria (Jordyn Shipley). And Gabriella (Lauren Kacere). And Gretchen (Andréa Markowski). When bad weather grounds all three flight attendants, Bernard's supersonic life hits turbulence. His friend, Robert (Gabe Thompson), has trouble remembering which lie to tell to which woman, and his housekeeper, Berthe (Susan Irish), is fed up with the deception unless there's money in it for her.

Mistaken identities and slamming doors abound in this farce that is a prequel to "Don't Dress for Dinner," a hit in our 2009 season.

The Playhouse's production of "Boeing Boeing" is directed by Kathy Pingel. The show is suggested for ages 13 and up due to some adult humor.

The Playhouse will host preshow talks at each performance of "Boeing Boeing." Audiences are encouraged to come to the theatre 30 minutes prior to curtain for a preshow talk with artistic staff.

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
