Zero Channel's comedy SHOOT ME NICELY will have its Colorado Premiere at SeriesFest's Independent Pilot Competition on June 29th at Denver's Sie Film Center. Written and Directed by award winning filmmaker Elias Plagianos (The Crimson Mask) "Shoot Me Nicely" explores the New York City art and fashion world through the eyes of photographer Sean Wheeler (John Behlmann). After losing his cushy magazine job, and his superstar status, Sean is forced to take odd jobs to pay the bills and his rent. Recently, his agent Layla (Linda Hamilton), has been working overtime selling Sean's paparazzi pics as she attempts to get him back into the spotlight of the fashion world.

"'Shoot Me Nicely' takes a fun and sometimes skewering look at the lives of artists, celebrities, and the creative community in New York City. We were able to attract some incredible talent both in front of and behind the camera, and everyone is thrilled to be a part of the best TV festival in the country. Our lead actor John Behlmann and I are particularly excited as we have many family and friends in the area. John went to graduate school here and I actually got married in Denver, so it's kind of a home away from home for us," said Elias Plagianos, who wrote, directed, edited, and created the series. "It's so difficult for independent TV projects to get noticed and we are so grateful that SeriesFest has given us this amazing opportunity to showcase our pilot to the industry and enthusiastic audiences at the Sie Film Center."

"Shoot Me Nicely" was named Best Independent TV Series (episode) by Europe's largest media broadcaster SKY TV at Snowdance in Germany this year, and is in competition in the comedy categories for SeriesFest Season 3. The creator and select cast will be in attendance at the screenings June 29th at 5pm and June 30th at 9:15 pm at the Sie Film Center in Denver Colorado. Opening Night for the festival takes place at Red Rocks Amphitheater with performances by Lauryn Hill, Common, and En Vogue along with the Premiere of CNN's "The 90's." Tickets and schedule are available at www.seriesfest.com.

"Shoot Me Nicely" Created, Written and Directed by Elias Plagianos. Starring John Behlmann, Linda Hamilton, William Sadler, Jackie Martling, Josh Burrow, Tasie Lawrence, and Lukas Hassel.
