Possum Point Players present the award-winning musical, "South Pacific," tonight, April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13. The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, set on an island paradise during World War II, tells of two couples whose love is threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war.

The show won 10 Tony Awards when on Broadway, and features timeless favorite songs such as "Nothing Like a Dame." "Younger Than Springtime," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair," and "Some Enchanted Evening."

A cast of 30 actors from 13 mid- and southern Delaware cities from Milford to Millsboro perform in Possum's "South Pacific." Jim Hartzell, Georgetown, is director, and Donna de Kuyper, Lewes, assistant director.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $23, seniors and students, $22, and may be reserved on-line at www.possumpointplayers.org. For information, call 856-3460 and visit website and facebook.

Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
