The Possum Point Players' youth affiliate Possum Juniors gets a little ghoulish on stage as they perform the musical comedy, "The Addams Family." The weird and wonderful funny family can be seen Thursday, July 20, Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22, at 7:00 PM; Sunday, July 23, matinee is at 2 P.M.

Tickets are $12 for students and $15 for adults; tickets can be purchased at possumpointplayers.org or 302-856-4560. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

Cast members come from 11 different southern Delaware communities. Appearing in "The Addams Family" are Julio Tijerina, Devon Lynch, ElizaBeth Holtz, Danny Keenan, Nick Outten, Abbey Ruark and Landon Rockwell of Georgetown and Sava Cook, Basil Cook, Gianna Voges, Colin Mohr and Alex Free of Seaford. Also appearing are Blair Williams and Sarah Aleman, Millsboro; Delaney Cinnamon and Morgan Whittam from Lewes and Kerinne Walls of Ocean View.

Additional cast members are Keavy Rhodes, Harrington; Connor Hall, Milford; and Jess Churchman, Rehoboth Beach. Rounding out the cast are Wade Stout, Riverdale; Finnley Sheridan, Frankford; and Rowan Reusing, Dagsboro. Kyra Cutsail of Laurel directs "The Addams Family" and Stacey Hartman of Milford is music director.

Not your everyday suburban family, the Addams possess powers slightly to the dark side and the loving extended family includes quirky relatives, living, dead and undecided. Gomez and Morticia have raised their children to carry on family traditions and always hold to family values of caring and haunting together to honor their numerous ancestors. They annually visit the graveyard to share and keep close ties with those who continue to spread the macabre musical message to the heights and, perhaps the depths, for those who have gone on.

Destined to be a princess of darkness, Wednesday, the daughter of the family, somehow strays from the freaky family way and ends up in love with a boy who is frightfully normal! It will come as a shock to no one that a get-acquainted dinner for the Addams and boyfriend Lucas' average everyday family goes the way of the Addams' average everyday nightmare. There are favors asked of ancestors, magic potions that end up in the wrong cup, storms called up to keep everyone locked down in the Addams creepy mansion, confessions of love and maybe a moon shot.

The 'Addams Family is being produced through special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
