Clear Space Theatre welcomes the cast of COMPANY to the stage for a three-weekend run March 20 - April 5. This ground-breaking musical by Stephen Sondheim examines the pros and cons of marriage as seen through the eyes of Robert, a bachelor celebrating his 35th birthday. "This is our second Sondheim show in recent years, and follows the successful movie remake of Sondheim's INTO THE WOOD," notes Wesley Paulson, Executive Director.

Button states, "Sondheim is a composer that everyone either loves or hates and this show came to Broadway with mixed reviews, however, no one could dispute its innovation. COMPANY takes a series of non-linear moments and jumbles them to tell the story so we understand Robert's confusion about his feelings on romantic relationships. These vignettes are seen through the eyes of Robert's married friends, who act as a Greek chorus."

The Clear Space production features a cast of 14 actors including Matt Lewis (Robert), Valorie Jarrell (Joanne), Colin James (Larry), Sydney Gray (Amy), Steven Dow (Paul), Lorraine Steinhoff (Jenny), Candice Jewell (Sarah), Anthony Natoli (Harry), Amy Denham (Susan), Mitchel Troescher (Peter), Katharine Ariyan (Marta), Dara Parsons (April), and Cat Timko (Kathy). The production is directed by Clear Space Artistic Director David Button. Melanie Bradley is the Musical Director and Shondelle Graulich is the Choreographer.

COMPANY opens Friday, March 20 with a special opening night reception at 6 pm. The production continues through Sunday, April 5 with shows on Friday and Saturdays at 7p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3p.m. Call Melody in the box office at 302.227.2270 or buy tickets online at www.ClearSpaceTheatre.org.
