MusicalWorld chats with Tony nominated composer & lyricist Paul Gordon. His musical Jane Eyre ran on Broadway in 2000 and was nominated for 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. He is currently developing several new musicals including Emma, Daddy-Long-Legs (opening March 13th in Cincinnati), Lucky Break, The Circle, Little Miss Scrooge and Death: The Musical. We discuss his life in the business of writing musicals and several of the shows on which he is working, including the recent World Premiere of Daddy-Long-Legs which has been shared between theaters on the West Coast and Cincinnati's Playhouse in the Park.

In addition to his work in the theater, Mr. Gordon is a successful songwriter, and entrepreneur. He has written multiple hit songs and is the recipient of nine ASCAP awards. He is the founder of the music download site www.IndiEclectic.com where artists recommend artists, and all of the music on the site is available for download for a very reasonable price.

In the episode, we get to hear selected tracks from Lucky Break, Daddy-Long-Legs & Emma.
