Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center (KVPAC) is hosting the greatest book bash in town! The fun begins Saturday, May 29, 2010 with special animal farm face painting followed by a featured performance of KVPAC's own Books Alive's! Boo Hoo Moo. Books Alive! is a dynamic academic and arts program for children ages 3-8 featuring a professional musical play based on a children's book followed by academic workshops with curriculum to encourage literacy and meet TEKS objectives.

The Book Festival includes a book fair where each child receives a complimentary tote bag and book of their choice. There will also be pizza for lunch courtesy of Candelari's, as well as refreshments, prize drawings and crafts. Books Alive! performers will be available for autographs and photos after the show. If you are celebrating a special birthday that day, be sure to let us know. Contact Lisa Connolly at lconnolly@kvpac.org.
Anyone can join the bash! We invite brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents! We hope to see them all at this special event which highlights the importance of reading and encourages a love of books to children at a young age. All seats cost $10 regardless of age. A parent MUST accompany children to this event. A Reserved Table of 8 is $100.

Thank You Books Alive! Festival Sponsors ABSOLUTELY! Magazines, Houston Arts Alliance, Cinco Life, Katy Budget Books and Candelari's. KVPAC is located at 2501 S Mason Rd #290, Katy, Texas 77450. For more information about Books Alive! or any KVPAC program, please visit www.kvpac.org.
