Town Players of Newtown presents a special reading of MENACE at the Little Theatre on Sunday, April 10 at 2 PM.

Written by an inmate of the Garner Correctional Institute who goes by the pen name Marquis, MENACE tells the story of Tyreese, child who has fallen between the cracks. Abandoned by his foster parents and lost in the juvenile justice system, Tyreese learns of violence and hate from the only person who has taken an interest in him. MENACE is the tragic tale of society's blind spot.

Directed by Elizabeth Young of Newtown, MENACE features the talents of Matt Austin of New Milford, Christopher Bird of Newtown, Timothy Huebenthal of Southbury, Ron Malyszka of Bridgewater, and James Wilding of Redding.

Tickets for this special event are $10; free for members of Town Players (reservations are recommended). Attendees are invited to stay after the performance for a Q&A with the director and actors.

Reservations may be made by calling the box office at 203-270-9144 or online by going to the theater's website, newtownplayers.org.

This production is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission.
