On Saturday October 25, TheatreWorks will kick off their Annual Appeal with a special fundraising event entitled "Cocktails & Cabaret: An Afternoon with Robin DeJesus."

Following the cocktail hour, guests will be treated to the talents of Robin DeJesus. After being featured in the TheatreWorks musical Sweeney Todd in 2001, Mr. De Jesus went on to a career in television, film, and theatre. Most notably, he earned the Drama Desk Award for his performance in In the Heights, and was nominated for a Tony Award for the same role in addition to his Tony nomination for his Broadway performance in La Cage aux Folles. Mr. DeJesus will be accompanied by professional pianist Charles Smith, performing an array of songs from Broadway classics to melodic jazz hits, to original new works heard by very few ears thus far.

"We are thrilled that Robin is coming back to TheatreWorks for this event!" said TheatreWorks Vice President, Christine Daley. "He is not only a friend but one of our greatest success stories. It will be a special treat for our patrons."

Cocktails begin at 2:00pm on the rear deck of the theatre with an hour of hors d'oeuvres prepared by The Pantry of Washington Depot, CT. These will be coupled with wines and micro brews from the New Milford Spirit Shoppe.

Tickets are $100.00 and proceeds will go towards supporting TheatreWorks New Milford. CT Magazine recently named TheatreWorks as Best Community Theater in Connecticut for 2014.
