The Shakespeare Playground presents "Villains and Heroes" - A Week-Long Theater Workshop for ages 8 to 13. The program runs June 28 to July 2.

Join us for "Villains and Heroes," this year's twist on our annual summer camp, "The Shakespeare Playground," cited by the New York Post as "the hottest children's theater class in town". Created by professional actor and educator Renee Bucciarelli, this drama program is designed to promote creativity, literacy and self-expression in a non-competitive, ensemble setting. Fun for everyone - no experience necessary!

Dastardly dukes! Sinister siblings! Wicked stepmothers! Murderous kings and queens! Spend a week exploring some of Shakespeare's "best-loved" villains-- and the brave heroes and heroines who challenge them. Scenes from several plays including Othello, Richard the Third, Hamlet, and King Lear will be rehearsed for a final performance for friends and family.
