Shakespeare on the Sound's 2016 Gala to Feature Andrea McArdle & More

Shakespeare on the Sound. based in Rowayton, CT, will host its annual Gala Evening, including cocktails, dinner, silent auction and live musical entertainment, on Monday, February 29, 2016, beginning at 6:00pm, at New York Yacht Club, 37 W 44th St, NYC.

The Gala evening, called "I (heart) New Yorik" salutes this summer's production of HAMLET, and features songs from shows based on Shakespeare including Kiss Me Kate, The Boys From Syracuse, All Shook Up, The Lion King and Something Rotten.

Scheduled to perform at the gala are Broadway veterans ROBERT CUCCIOLI (Jekyll and Hyde (Tony Nominee), Spider Man -Turn Off the Dark, Les Miserables), FELICIA FINLEY (Mamma Mia, The Wedding Singer, Aida, LIZ LARSEN (Beautiful, Hairspray, The Most Happy Fella (Tony Nominee), LESLI MARGHERITA (Mathilda, Dames at Sea), ANDREA McARDLE (Annie (Tony Nominee), State Fair, Les Miserables), SADIE SEELERT (Mary Poppins) JOSH TOWER (Motown, The Lion King) and MARISHA WALLACE (Something Rotten, Aladdin).

Tables are $3,000 and $5,000 and individual tickets are $300 and $500.

Shakespeare on the Sound, formed in 1995, produces free, professional open-air productions of the plays of William Shakespeare. The Educational programming goal is to build community through the arts, giving the works of Shakespeare a vibrant life beyond the summer festival with a variety of school, library, adult education and arts programs as a means to reach a diverse cross-section of people of all ages and economic backgrounds.
