GFour Productions, winners of 54 Drama Desk and 44 Tony Awards are proudly bringing the international hit show Menopause The Musical to Stamford and will play the Stamford Center for the Arts' Palace Theatre for one performance on Sunday, May 4th. Menopause The Musical is a groundbreaking celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change." Tickets are currently on sale, and can be purchased at the box office, http://stamfordcenterforthearts.org/, or by calling 203-325-4466. Group discounts for 10+ are also available by calling 888-686-8587 x5.

From its first performance, Menopause The Musical has evolved as a "grassroots" movement of women who deal with life adjustments after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post-World War II baby boomer generation.

Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale. The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer "The Silent Passage." It is a stage in every woman's life that is perfectly normal.

Menopause The Musical is produced by GFour Productions. The laughter-filled 90-minute production includes parodies from classic pop songs of the '60s and '70s and '80s. It is estimated that nearly 11 million women have attended a performance since the 2001 opening in Orlando, Florida. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, writer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who find themselves at any stage of "The Change."

Menopause The Musical recently celebrated its 3,000th performance and was named the longest-running scripted production in Las Vegas. The hilarious musical has entertained audiences across the country in more than 450 U.S. cities, nearly 300 international cities and a total of 15 countries.
