Tony Award winner Jim Dale will stage his first foray into solo performing at the Paul Mellon Arts Centre on October 9, in a show titled 'Still Carrying On with Jim Dale'. In this one-evening special apperance, Dale will share anecdotes about his fifty years in show business.

Jim Dale is an actor, voice artist, singer and songwriter. He is best known in the United Kingdom for his many appearances in the Carry On series of films and is known in the US for narrating the Harry Potter audiobook series, for which he won the 2008 Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children. Dale's theatre credits include plays and musicals. He has been nominated for five Tony Awards, winning one for Barnum in 1980. Among his other Broadway credits are Scapino, Joe Egg and The Threepenny Opera. His West End credits include The Wayward Way, The Card, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Winter's Tale, and most recently the role of Fagin in Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver!

The show takes place on the main stage of the Paul Mellon Arts Center on Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. The Arts Center is located in Wallingford on Christian Street.
