An exciting, fun-filled inspirational evening, with dance, music, a touch of the Great White Way, prizes and more, comes to Stamford, CT Friday, August 26.

The Unity Center of Norwalk presents reality TV star and celebrity event planner David Tutera's Dream Bigger Tour at The Palace Theatre for the Performing Arts, 61 Atlantic Street, for one performance only at 8 p.m.

Broadway singing star Norm Lewis, perhaps best known for his roles in The Phantom of the Opera, Porgy & Bess and TV's Scandal series, will be Tutera's special guest.

Tutera, star of WE tv's CELEBrations and party planner extraordinaire, describes the event as "a festive hybrid of talk show and live theater." He interviews guests, oversees a makeover, conducts a question-and-answer session and inspires the audience with tales of his enthusiastic can-do attitude.

A bridal fashion designer, Tutera shares tips on planning the perfect wedding, birthday or graduation party. In addition, Audience members have chances to win exciting prizes. The show also features actors and dancers as well as eye-catching fashion light displays.

"Dream Bigger is a truly interactive and entertaining experience," Tutera said. "I am thrilled Norm Lewis will open the show with a wonderful new Dream Bigger song composed by David Friedman."

Lewis, nominated for a Tony® Award for best actor in a musical (Porgy & Bess), made show business history being the first African American to play the title role in The Phantom of the Opera. His other Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables, Chicago and Miss Saigon. In the hit TV drama Scandal, Lewis has a recurring role as Senator Edison.

Friedman, a popular film and theatre composer, songwriter and conductor, has made his mark with multi-platinum recordings, Broadway shows, Disney animated films and television scores. He is a frequent performer on the Today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda.

Tutera said the show has "something for everyone." It also features the inspirational rap artist Sonnet Man, who sets Shakespeare's soulful sonnets to song with a contemporary hip hop twist. Dancers are Ally and L.J.

The event is sponsored by Platinum sponsors: The Water's Edge at Giovanni's, The Delmar Greenwich Harbor and The Spa at the Delmar Greenwich Harbor. The Unity Center at 3 Main Street, 2nd Floor, in Norwalk, CT, is a spiritually-based community founded and based on a concept of always pointing the way toward a more positive way of living. Shawn Moninger (sp) is its pastor.
