The pairing of two talented artists on one show is always twice the enjoyment--and--often a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience. Just such an offering is on tap as an intimate Valentine for fans of Richard Marx and Matt Scannell, who'll perform at PlayhouseSquare's Ohio Theatre, Sunday February 13 at 7 pm.

Both famous in their own right, super-hyphenate and Grammy-winning Marx is the singer-songwriter-musician-record producer responsible for performing such hits as, "Right Here Waiting For You," "Now and Forever," "Should've Known Better" and "Endless Summer Nights" (and for writing such songs as the Luther Vandross' hits "Dance with My Father" and "This I Promise You"). Contemporary rocker Scannell is best known as the lead singer of the group Vertical Horizon, whose top hits have included "Everything You Want," "I'm Still Here" and "The Best I've Ever Had."

The two artists have found time in their busy solo schedules to perform a limited amount of intimate concerts together...not so unusual considering the pair combined their winning talents for the album Duo. They now take to the stage to perform not only their own songs but their fresh collaborative efforts, while also sharing insider stories of what goes on behind the music industry spotlight.

Tickets for Richard Marx and Matt Scannell Feb. 13 at PlayhouseSquare are $35, $25 and $10 Smart Seats, on sale at The PlayhouseSquare Ticket Office, on playhousesquare.org or through 216-241-6000. PlayhouseSquare is located at 1501 Euclid Avenue, Suite 200, Cleveland, OH 44115.
