Five of the 19 surviving Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook accidentally killed the other 52 residents of her convent with a foodbourne illness. Mother Superior had a dream that she was to start a greeting card company to raise money for the funerals. The company was such a success that she accidentally spent all of the money of VCR's and Camcorders for the convent, leaving her without funds to pay for the funeral. The nuns are placed on ice and the five sisters decide to stage a variety show to raise the amount necessary.

Participating in the project are Mother Superior Mary Regina, a former circus performer who can not resist the spotlight (Angie Thacker), her competitive but dignified rival, second-in-command Sister Mary Hubert (Angele Price), Sister Robert Anne (Cassie Mikat), a streetwise nun from Brooklyn, Sister Mary Leo (TBA), a novice who is determined to be the world's first ballerina nun; and wacky, childlike Sister Mary Amnesia (Danielle Kubasky), who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. The entertainment that they present includes solo star turns, madcap dance routines, and even an audience quiz!

Nunsense is a musical comedy with book, music, and lyrics by Dan Goggin. The show was originally written as a line of greeting cards that expanded into a cabaret and eventually a full-length, Off-Broadway musical. The original Off-Broadway production opened in December of 1985 and ran for a total of 3,672 performances, making it the second longest running Off-Broadway musical in history. The show has even been adapted into a television show in which you may have seen Rue McClanahan starring in!

Nunsense will be presented Dinner Theatre style at Mimi's Café tonight, November 4, 2014 and December 2, 2014. Seating starts at 6:30 P.M. and the show starts at 7:15 P.M. Tickets are $20 (with food purchase required) and can be purchased at daretodefyllc.com or reserved by calling (937) 999-9949. The show will also be performed at The Mathile Theatre the weekend of December 2nd (more specific dates and times to be announced).

Do not miss these witty and hilarious sisters blessing the stage one song at a time!
