The Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) Live From Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase: A Memorial Concert in Tribute to Vocalist Perrian Jordan.

On Monday, December 10th at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the CJO, along with many of Chicago's most popular singers, will pay tribute to Perrian Jordan in a memorial concert at the Jazz Showcase, 806 S. Plymouth Court in Chicago. The cover charge for the performance is $15.00. For further details about the Jazz Showcase, please visit www.jazzshowcase.com. The CJO is conducted by artistic director Jeff Lindberg.

Perrian performed with the CJO for many years, most notably as "Brother Ray" in the CJO's popular Ray Charles tribute concert. Perrian's talent, good will, and easy going spirit will be missed by all in the jazz community.

In addition, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, with vocalist Frieda Lee, will be at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase on Monday, December 17. The CJO was the first Chicago-based jazz orchestra to be featured in solo performance at The Jazz Showcase (1980). These two performances mark the first time the CJO has played at the new Jazz Showcase location.
