Lyric's annual Subscriber Appreciation Concert, which this year features renowned soprano and Lyric creative consultant Renée Fleming and celebrated tenor Jonas Kaufmann, has only a few seats left. The Wednesday, March 19 program, which begins at 7:30 pm, is a thank-you performance for Lyric's more than 25,000 subscribers. The concert with the Lyric Opera Orchestra, conducted by Lyric Music Director Sir Andrew Davis includes selections by Verdi, Massenet, Gounod, and others.

Fleming fans unable to get tickets for the March 19 event should not despair. The soprano, who dominated the media with her rendition of the National Anthem at this year's Super Bowl, will sing the role of the Countess in Richard Strauss'sCapriccio in Lyric's 2014-15 season. She will also perform at the company's 60th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 1 with jazz legend RamseyLewis. Fleming last appeared at Lyric as Blanche DuBois in the 2012-13 production of André Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire.

Kaufmann, who The New York Times describes as "the hottest tenor in opera," last appeared at Lyric as Chevalier des Grieux in the David McVicar-directed production of Massenet's Manon in the 2008-09 season.

Capriccio with Renée Fleming, Anne Sofie von Otter, Bo Skovhus, and conducted by Sir Andrew Davis opens October 6 with seven performances through October 28. Subscriptions for the 2014-15 season are available now at lyricopera.org or 312-827-5600. Tickets will go on sale to the general public in August.
