Andrew Jessop has just been named Redtwist's Co-Artistic Director. "Andrew combines the best qualities of his energetic and progressive risk-taking, with a respect for the time-honored qualities of great traditional theatre," says Co-Artistic Director Michael Colucci.

Andrew recently had his directorial debut with the Redtwist Production of Man From Nebraska which received the Jeff Award for Best Production for the 2011 season. He is currently appearing in the title role of the Chicago premiere of Elling at Redtwist. He was also on stage at Redtwist in Bug, Lobby Hero (as Jeff, Jeff-Nominated), Equus, The Pillowman (as Katurian, Jeff-Nominated), The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, and A View from the Bridge. He has designed the sets at Redtwist for Elling, That Face, Bug, Lobby Hero, A Delicate Balance, and Equus. As an actor, Andrew has worked with The Players Theatre (New York); the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.); and The Actors Theatre of Louisville, where he also worked as an Acting Apprentice during 2004 and 2005.

Redtwist hopes to be the first-ever company to provide a complete program to its patrons in the form of a menu-like vinyl folder which is recycled for every performance. Patrons can page through the programs at their seats just as they do with our regular color programs. And now they can be wiped clean and used over and over. In addition, patrons will be supplied with a link to view the same program online, or download it as a pdf for future reference. Recyclable programs will help the environment and save printing costs--a win-win for all.
