Ravinia Announces the Festival Debut of David Byrne & St. Vincent in Summer 2013 Season

Ravinia announces the festival debut of rock musician pairing David Byrne & St. Vincent on Saturday, July 6. Tickets to this event and all Ravinia summer events will go on sale to the public at 5 a.m. on April 25 exclusively at www.ravinia.org. A full list of 2013 summer events will be announced on March 7.

After a couple semi-chance encounters, David Byrne and Annie Clark, who records and performs as St. Vincent, created their collaboration debut album Love This Giant, three years in the making. The Ravinia concert is part of their first U.S. tour together. Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar awards-winner Byrne was the founding member, lead singer and principal songwriter of the new wave band Talking Heads, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. His solo career has spanned over 30 years, including theater and film composition. St. Vincent began her music career as a member of The Polyphonic Spree and launched a solo career in 2006 with the release of her debut album, Marry Me.
