The eighth annual Chicago Fringe Festival, showcasing some 50 acts in nearly 200 performances over nine days of shows will feature comedians, dramas, solo shows, dance, and puppetry... but just one mind reader. The Chicago-based Mark Toland, who has toured nationally and internationally with his one-man show "Mark Toland, Mind Reader" and appeared frequently on Chicago television and radio programs, will put his award-winning mind reading skills to the test for seven performances throughout the festival. The festival runs from August 30th-September 10th, 2017.
Toland's show is a fast-paced, interactive experience full of mind-boggling mysteries of the mind. Toland selects audience members at random and reveals birthdays, memories, and personal thoughts that he couldn't possibly know in advance.
Toland took his show on an international tour this summer where he won an "Audience Choice" award at the 2017 FRIGID Festival in New York City, a "Patrons Pick" at the Orlando Fringe Festival, "Critics Choice" at PortFringe, and "Outstanding Mentalism Performance" at the San Diego International Fringe Festival. "I'm thrilled to bring my show back to Chicago Fringe and be a part of such an incredible festival," Toland said.
